Install Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean Sony Xperia U ST25 Firmware Update

Sony Xperia U can update to Android 4.1.2 jelly bean. This installation we use stock 6.2.A.0.400 firmware . It needs an unlocked bootloader. Because this is not an official firmware. It originally released for Xperia P. Just a little tweak we can apply it to Xperia U ST25 (don’t install Xperia P ftf file using flashtool).

Sony mobile confirms that Xperia U ST25 will not receive jelly bean update. Therefore this is a big opportunity. This update has all the Sony’s new applications and feature. In addition to that it has all the exciting jelly bean features.

This method first we install the kernel, after that you receive the CWM recovery. After that we install the firmware zip file. This Xperia U Android 4.1.2 installation wipe all the user data on your phone. Which means it wipe your user apps with data, SMS, call logs, etc. However it’s not delete anything on your SD card memory.  Before starting this tutorial, I highly recommend to backup all the data. This post includes all the necessary steps.
