Install ClockworkMod ( CWM ) Recovery 6.0.1.2 Sony Xperia Sola MT27 ICS Locked Bootloader

How to install ClockworkMod ( CWM ) recovery 6.0.1.2 on Sony Xperia Sola MT27? Now it’s possible with Android 4.0.4 Ice cream sandwich ( ICS ) locked bootloader.

Before follow this tutorial you have to root your Sola phone. We already posted a rooting guide and you can follow this tutorial (work all Sony phones). Using a custom recovery, user can install custom ROM, flashable zip files, factory reset and many more customization.

This is not a touch enabled CWM recovery, so that when you enable the recovery mode, you have to use volume keys for navigation and power button for selection. If you’re interesting a touch enabled CWM version, its better follow this tutorial. This recovery developed by the XDA forum “atis112“

Installing custom recovery will void the warranty. If your device brick or damage i can’t claim its damages. If your device brick, try to install new firmware using flashtool.

Requirements.

Backup your internal memory.
Charge the battery minimum 50%.
Install adb drivers. (Guide in here)
Enable USB debugging (Settings>Developer options)

How to install ClockworkMod recovery Sony Xperia Sola MT27.

Extract the downloaded zip file to the desktop.
Connect your phone to the computer via USB and make sure that you have enabled USB debugging.
Double click the extracted folder contain “install.bat” file.
Now Windows CMD window will open and you can see its installation progress.
When it displays “Finished!”, press any key on your PC keyboard.
Congratulation, you just completed the CWM recovery installation on your Sony Xperia Sola MT27.
To boot into the CWM recovery first reboot the phone. When you see the Sony booting logo, continuously press and release the “Volume Down” key for a few seconds.
