Install Android 4.1.1 Jelly bean CM10 ROM Huawei U9200

Android 4.1.1 base jelly bean CyanogenMod 10 (CM10) ROM now available for the Huawei U9200. If you’re not aware this custom ROM, its an after market community build ROM for various Android phone and tablaet.

This custom ROM, not include Google apps, but we can flash/install them right after the ROM installation. Before follow this tutorial you have to root and install a custom recovery on your Huawei U9200. This CM ROM developed by the bbs.anzhi.com chines forum (I guess).

CM 10 ROM installation wipe all the data on your Huawei U9200. It’s highly recommended to backup all the user data. You can follow this tutorial contain guide.

Requirements.

  • Backup and sync your internal memory [ with root | without root ].
  • Charge minimum 60%.
  • Install a custom recovery such as CWM.

Downloads.

  • jelly bean CyanogenMod 10 ROM in here. (latest version can find in here)
  • Android 4.1.1 Google apps in here.

 

Install jelly bean CyanogenMod 10 on Huawei U9200.

 

  • Copy downloaded CM10 ROM and Gapps zip files to your SD card.
  • Power off the Huawei U9200.
  • Reboot into the recovery mode by press and hold “Volume up and Power” buttons together for a few seconds.
  • Now you’re in the recovery.
  • First wipe the data and factory reset.  To do that navigate to “Wipe data/factory reset>Yes–Wipe data”.
  • Next wipe the cache partition by selecting “Wipe cache partition>Yes–Wipe cache”.
  • After that delete the dalvik-cache by navigating to “Advanced>Wipe dalvik-cache>Yes–Wipe dalvik-cache”.
  • Now we can install the ROM, to do that go to “Install zip from the sd card>Choose zip from the sd card” and select the downloaded ROM.
  • Select “Yes–Install xxx-xx-xxxx.zip”.
  • After its installation completed install the Gapps zip file.
  • Now again clean the “Cache partition” and “dalvik-cache”.
  • Finally back to the main menu and select “Reboot system now”.
  • First boot takes few minutes, its normal.
