SkyDrive Android App Now Available On Play Store

Microsoft SkyDrive official Android app now available on the Google play store market. This is not the first time Microsoft introduces android app. If you’re not familiar with SkyDrive, it’s a personal cloud like popular Dropbox, which allow you to store up-to 7GB files free.
The new app work with android 4.0.3 and 4.0.4 Ice cream sandwich and 2.3 Gingerbread. They have already introduced Windows Phone and is based apps.

Now you can access and share your files from all your mobile devices. Furthermore Microsoft already has a Windows based application.

Features of Skydrive android app.
  • Access your SkyDrive files and other people shared files with you.
  • View recently documents.
  • Upload photos, videos from your phone.
  • Share your cloud files and photos (view only or view and edit only).
  • Download files to your phone SD card.
  • Open SkyDrive files using your phone apps.
  • Delete or create new folders.
However if we compare this app with similar cloud apps, it doesn’t have built in file viewer. If you need to view documents, text files, you have to install the app that can open these files.
