How To Clear Dalvik Cache On Android ( Root Clean)

This post I’m going to show you, how to delete dalvik-cache easily. Before we get started, it’s better to know what is this dalvik-cache. When we run the application on our android phone, they create temporary files. Its better cleanup them periodically. To clean dalvik-cache we need to root permission, however if you need to delete app cache,  it’s no need the root access.  Mainly you have two options, using clockwork mod recovery or using the Andromizer free app. If you use Titanium backup pro, it has an option, but no need to purchase it.
If you move apps to SD card 2nd partition, after you perform this action, all the moved apps dalvik-cache symbolic links will be lost and create a fresh file in internal memory. You can again link them.

How to clean with Andromizer app.

  • Install Andromizer “web browser in here“, “Play store app in here“.
  • After the installation completed, run the app and grant super user permission.
  • Go to the “S.T.T” tab and scroll down.
  • Tap on the “Remove Dalvik-Cache” and tap “OK”.
  • Reboot the phone.
First start-up takes longer time, than usual.
How to clean with ClockworkMod recovery.
  • Reboot into CWM recover.
  • Go to “Advanced”
  • Tap on the “Wipe Dalvik Cache”
If you don’t have the rooted device, first root it and follow this step. This is required before install the ROM. Apart from that, if you have some application issue its better perform this action.
